Amaravathy

Amaravathy has located 12km from our villa. Amaravathy dam was built primarily for irrigation, and flood control and now also has four megawatts of electrical generating capacity installed. Traveling towards amaravathy is a breeze of a drive between farmlands growing a variety of crops. The major attractions in this village are the reservoir, dam, park, and Crocodile farm. The most interesting species “Mugger crocodile” can be seen only here. Amaravathy is the largest wild breeding population of crocodiles in South India. This dam is built to store the excess water flowing through the Amaravathi River. A boat ride on the reservoir is a great way to experience a beautiful landscape. It is the best place to have a picturesque view north of the plains below and south of the Anaimalai Hills and Palani Hills above.

Tirumoorthi

Tirumoorthy hills are located 14km from our villa. It gets its name from the existence of 3 Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva idols. It is located amidst the beautiful Annamalai Hill ranges. It is not a paradise for nature lovers but also a religious place. Arulmigu Amanalingeswarar Temple is one of the famous temples in this region. It is a place notable for the universal peace foundation. The major attractions in this village are Arulmigu Amanalingeswarar temple, Panchalinga waterfalls, and Tirumoorthy dam. Panjalinga falls is about three kilometers climbing over the hills. It is also a favorite shooting location of Tamil and Malayalam movies because of its lush landscapes and scenery. Camp Splendour is a private campsite that hosts a hub of adventure sports activities like Kayaking, Canoeing,​Trekking, Jet Ski Rides, Standup Paddling, Archery, and Commando Net.

Topslip

Topslip has located 40km from our villa. It is a part of the protected Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary. Topslip is blessed with a salubrious climate. Topslip is home to more than 250 species of birds of 49 families and the habitats found here are vast. The richness of flora and fauna is extremely impressive. It is a project of the Elephant sanctuary and Tiger sanctuary. It is a picturesque location of scenarios and many films are shot here. The Indian Wild elephant, Gaur, Sambar deer, spotted deer, and Sloth Bear can be spotted in animal sightings. Apart from animal sightings, you can go on a safari to the elephant camp name Kozhikamuthi.

Aliyar

Aliyar has located 39km from our villa. This picturesque dam is located at the foothills of the valparai hills famous for tea estates offering beautiful views. The primary purpose of the dam is to support irrigation for Pollachi and nearby places for Agriculture purposes. Ideal weekend gateways for tourists include a park, garden, aquarium, and children’s play area. An evening walk along the road on the top of the dam with breezy cool air provides a natural eco-friendly vibe. The dam offers panoramic views with tall, blue mountains on one side and lush green coconut farms on the other, creating a haven that stands in harmony with an island in the middle of the lake. Nearby attractions of aliyar is the Aliyar canal, Temple of Consciousness – Vethathiri Maharishi Yoga, KayaKalpa Research, and the Monkey waterfalls.

Valparai

Valparai has located 81km from our villa. It is situated at an altitude of 3500 feet above sea level. Valparai is about 40 Hair Pin Bends from Aliyar. Valparai Hill station is pollution-free heavenly land surrounded with full of tea estates. It is a picturesque forest all around. This place has several tea and coffee estates surrounded by thick forests. The climate of Valparai is most suitable for tea, coffee, cardamom, and cinchona trees. The most prominent attractions of Valparaiso are Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and Balaji temple. Travelers can spot the lion-tailed macaque, barking deer, wild boar, Nilgiri, Great Hornbill, Malabar Pied Hornbill, and Grey Malabar Hornbill. Valparai is also a great place for bird-watching. Parambikulam

Parambikulam has located 63km from our villa. It is one of the premier Tiger Reserves of India and is endowed by nature in terms of species, habitat, and ecosystem diversity. It is a well-protected protected part of the Nelliyampathy. The Reserve supports a healthy population of several endangered faunas and the presence of tigers and other co-predators in the landscape emphasizes the ecological importance of this region. As per the last census, parambikulam has 28 tigers in the forest. The sanctuary has a variety of trees mainly teak, neem, sandalwood, and rosewood. Even the oldest ever teak tree, Kannimara Teak exists here. It has many jungle safari and different types of trekking trails like Bear path trail, Pugmark trail, Elephant song trail, and Kariyanshola Trail.

Chinnar

Chinnar has located 24km from our villa. It is one of 18 wildlife sanctuaries in the protected areas of Kerala. It is the only rehabilitation center for the Indian star tortoise in India. It got a special name for medicinal plants. The mixed deciduous forests here are ideal for trekking. Many different animal species like the Indian leopard, spotted deer, Indian elephant, gaur, Bengal tiger, sambar deer, common langur, bonnet macaque, gray langur, Nilgiri tahr, rusty-spotted cat, and grizzled giant squirrel can be spotted here. Unlike Kerala, Chinnar gets less than two months of rain over the year.

Marayur

Marayoor has located 33km from our villa. It is the only place in Kerala that has natural sandalwood forests. It claims to be a part of the Stone Age civilization. At Marayoor, you can stroll along the sugarcane plantations or visit a spot where they make the famed jaggery and taste it. Many Ancient dolmens and rock paintings in Marayur date back to the Stone Age. Marayur can be observed with mountains, rain forests, deciduous forests, riparian forests, scrub forests, brooks, Paddy Fields, rivers, waterfalls, rocky hills, sholas, and hamlets. It is a well-known repository of medicinal plants. Marayur preserves a population of the endangered Grizzled Giant Squirrel. There are many trek routes to deep woods to see what life is like in the high altitude montane evergreen – the shola forests and grasslands up the hills.

Munnar

Munnar has located 73km from our villa. Munnar is also called the Kashmir of south India. It is a natural beauty, a romantic place, and a famed hill station in south India. This place is mainly known for Tea plantations and Neelankurinji which blooms once in twelve years. Virgin forests, savannahs, rolling hills, scenic valleys, numerous streams, huge splashy waterfalls, sprawling tea plantations, and winding walkways are all part of the Munnar.
